Are you looking to improve your fitness or start running? Then why not join our FREE SportsPound Couch to 5k beginners running course!
Most of these courses are in the evening, but we've recognised a lot of you can't make these so we’ve put this one on especially for you! What’s more it’s suitable to do before the school pick up, if you work in the evenings or just prefer afternoons!
Once you’ve done you could reward yourself with a coffee at the Bean Tree café and chat about your run, life in general and enjoy the park in Spring.
This course lasts 9 weeks will take you in session one from running for 60 seconds to being able to run continuously for 30 minutes by week nine.
It’s a sociable and beginner friendly group with a shared journey. As well as the coached sessions we encourage our groups to meet up and do their "homework" sessions together as well. This usually means there's another chance to catch up over a coffee!
Our Run Leaders are all experienced at coaching beginners and many started their journey just like you! The course ends all too soon with “Graduation” at a local free to enter 5 km Parkrun – we even throw in a free technical running t-shirt as a reward for finishing the course!
Places are available FREE with SportsPound Vouchers, so what are you waiting for....sign up now! Why not get a friend to come as well!
